I Believe“But Charlie, don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted … He lived happily ever after.” ~ Gene Wilder (1933-2016) - Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
About Martin Daubney
The bottom line is that everything I do is in service of understanding stress and building resilience in people, teams and organizations, through a number of interventions. I am an international coach, trainer, and facilitator based in Basel, Switzerland specializing in Leadership and Team Development using for example Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Intelligence and Gallup Strengths Coaching as a basis for action learning.
I collaborate with clients to design their day(s), quickly understanding their needs. My approach is flexible while at the same time ensuring we maximize our opportunity together, bringing strong strategic thinking for planning and offer fun and creativity to workshops and training sessions.
My coaching is based largely on a Cognitive Behavioral Coaching approach where the client, through a collaborative process called guided discovery, discovers their own areas to work on to rid themselves of the negative core belief, leading to the “light bulb moment” when it all becomes clear. In this way I help to promote insight and better rational decision making, and lay down new thoughts that only lead to improvement.
Individual clients tend to be starting a new role, or people who are feeling stuck in their current role. I help with performance management coaching and all aspects of moving careers from CV rewrites and LinkedIn profile advice to interview techniques and removing self-limiting beliefs. Your coaching program will be unique for you. Click here to take action and book a free, no obligation 30 minute coaching consultation. I look forward to working with you.
Martin Daubney Success Stories
An Eye-Opening Experience
“Martin is smart, witty and very professional. He has very good knowledge of NLP and its practical applications in our day-to-day life. I attended his workshop and found it really very informative. It was an eye-opening experience for me and also for the other participants. He is truly a subject matter expert in NLP. If you are looking to take the next step in your life, but feel that you cannot proceed, then Martin is the person you need to contact. ” ~ Prathima Kondadi, HR Services Project Coordinator at Novartis, Basel Switzerland
Insightful and Pragmatic
“Martin was my coach for TEDxBasel. After our first meeting, there was a risk that someone else might be assigned to me because he was in such high demand, and I fought hard to keep him! Boy am I glad. He's insightful, pragmatic, meets you where you are, and allows your best to unfold.” ~ Kristen Pressner, Global Head Human Resources Diagnostics Division, Basel Switzerland
A Rare Coach
“My experience with coaching in the past was, that the received inputs lasted during the coaching time but not any longer. Martin has the amazing ability to get the best out of people on the short term but at the same time make his inputs go deep into one's personality and last in time. His outstanding versatility allows him to know where to go in depth and on what topics to focus, which is a rare ability in coaches. I am extremely happy to have worked with Martin for my TEDx talk; without Martin I could have never reached the result I did.” ~ Marco Serra, Global Novartis Chief Architect, Basel Switzerland
“Martin is highly professional and quickly touches the spot and starts his coaching from there. He adapts his style to the needs of the client and therefore first successes will come fast. He also offers different coaching approaches, which include timeline therapy and hypnotherapy, worth thinking about and experiencing.” ~ Piet Swart, Global Head NCE Drug Disposition at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany
“I engaged Martin as an executive coach to help me through a number of personal and business challenges. Using his skills as an NLP Master Practitioner, he was able to guide me through some difficult problems that included identifying and performing the appropriate interventions needed to address my issues. He has excellent inter-personal and listening skills and I would highly recommend him as a life or executive coach.” ~ Steve Shergold, Founder & Principal Consultant at Blufeather, UK
