About Craig Nielson
I serve as a coach, motivational speaker, and advocate for women struggling with low self-confidence and negative self image. I specialize in coaching women to a place of emotional wellness and wholeness by helping them to combat low self-esteem, build confidence, and break the cycle of obsessively seeking perfection.
As a kid, I grew up in a family with all sisters and as a result I have been an unofficial safe haven for female friends and women throughout the years. Many of these women have gravitated toward me because of my unique male perspective, understanding ear, and profound guidance.
During a 13-year career in law enforcement, I worked with victims of sex crimes, domestic battery and sexual assault. My life-long experience with women suffering from emotional distress came to a head when I responded to a call for a tragic suicide by a beautiful 23-year-old woman. At this juncture, my life purpose shifted entirely. I knew my collective life experience had prepared me for my true calling: coaching women to emotional wellness and wholeness.
I went back to school to earn a Master's Degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology as well as my Certification as a Professional Life Coach through iPEC, the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
I specialize in helping women who suffer from low self-esteem and negative body image, often helping them to recover from eating disorders, emotional distress, perfectionism and low self-worth. I help women become fully confident, attract the right kind of men in the lives, and fully engage in life with more passion, energy, and fun.
I am also an Adjunct Professor at Truckee Meadows Community College where I teach Academic, Career, and Personal Development. I advocate for women by doing motivational speaking where I talk about elevating the consciousness for both men and women in a culture that continuously objectifies women; for women so they can see their true self worth and for men so they will value and honor women.
Today, I live a positive and healthy lifestyle in Reno, Nevada with my wife, daughter and son. I am avid runner and have completed the prestigious Boston Marathon.
